About Trinity
Trinity Lutheran Church is made up of nearly 1400 Christians who are committed to
carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ in downtown Rochester,
MN.  Located almost literally in the shadow of the Mayo Clinic, we proclaim the love
of God in Jesus Christ to the entire Rochester community, and to the downtown
community in particular.  We worship using a variety of worship styles and times,
and offer Christian Education opportunities for all ages.  We are committed to Holy
Scripture as the revealed Word of God, and seek to apply it from a Lutheran
perspective to all whom we serve.

Mission
In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through word
and sacrament, the mission of Trinity Lutheran Church is to vigorously share the
love of Christ by word and deed within our church, school, community, and the world.

History
Trinity Lutheran Church was started in 1867 by five businessmen from Wisconsin
who settled in Rochester. The church is a member of Minnesota South District of the
Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). Trinity is the mother (LCMS) church in
Rochester, which helped establish four other LCMS churches in this area. Trinity is
also the founding member of an association of churches who have jointly
contributed to the administration and operation of a local
Lutheran school for over
100 years.
